The AIRCAST SP Walker (Short Pneumatic) Brace has a lightweight and semi-rigid shell that can be trimmed to achieve optimal comfort for the wearer. It also has a low rocker sole that provides natural ambulation and sufficient space for dressings and bandages.

The AIRCAST SP Walker (Short Pneumatic) Brace features a pre-inflated anterior air cell and another two adjustable distal air cells to compress and support the malleoli. The malleoli air cells can be individually inflated using the hand bulb included in the package to achieve the wearer’s desired fit.

The pulsating, graduated compression this walking boot provides helps counteract and reduce edema, promoting the fast healing of the injury. It provides the comfort and protection the patient needs without the added weight. With its universal design, the brace can be worn on either the right or left foot.

Directions on how to use the AIRCAST SP Walker (Short Pneumatic) Brace

1. After unfastening the straps, remove the front panel and open the liner.
2. In a seated position, place the injured foot in the brace, making sure the heel is properly positioned in the back of the brace. Pull the liner forward to remove wrinkles. Wrap the liner around your foot and ankle, smoothen the wrinkles, and secure.
3. Position the front panel with the AIRCAST logo over the toes. Secure the front panel with the lower part inside the brace and the upper part outside. Secure straps starting from the bottom upwards. Adjust until snug and comfortable.
4. To inflate the air cells, insert the “inflate” tip of the hand bulb (included in the package) into the valve. Squeeze until air cells feel snug. Start from the valve inside the leg and then on the outside.
5. To deflate, insert the “deflate” tip of the hand bulb into the valve and squeeze until you find comfortable pressure.

Care Instructions

Remove the liner and hand wash using cold water and mild soap. Air dry completely before reuse. Do not use a tumble dryer or other heat sources to dry.
