Directions on how to use the Drive Medical Non-Tilt Overbed Table

Simply unlock the casters and gently wheel the table to the desired location, ensuring it is near your bed, chair, or wheelchair. Raise or lower the table to your preferred height, ensuring it’s level with your seated or lying position.

Assembly Instructions

1. Remove contents from the packaging and lay the tabletop upside down on a flat surface with the mounting bracket facing upward.
2. Stand the column assembly right side up. Ensure the trip rod is visible in the rectangular tube, but not protruding out of the top. If necessary, shake the column assembly until the trip rod drops into place inside the column assembly. Next, insert the trip lever, with the rounded side facing up, into the column assembly, ensuring that the flat side of the trip lever rests on the trip rod.
3. While holding the trip lever securely in place on top of the trip rod, flip the column assembly upside down and insert the column assembly into the tabletop mounting bracket.
4. Align the horizontal hole in table top mounting bracket with the horizontal hole in the column assembly and the hole through the trip lever. Insert 1/4 x 20 bolt into the horizontal hole & secure with nut. Tighten with 10mm wrench.
5. Install two domed Phillips head bolts and locking washers through the vertical holes in the mounting bracket and into the threaded holes in the column assembly.
6. Install two casters with locks into the base which connects to the column assembly. Install two non-locking casters into the base opposite column assembly.
7. Install two bolt sleeves into the upside-down base and then position two bolts through the bolt plate and into the bolt sleeves. Position the base over the column assembly and the thread bolts into the bottom of the column assembly and tighten using a 16mm wrench.
8. Turn the table upright and stand on the casters.
9. CAUTION: This step must be completed last to prevent damage to the spring-loaded mechanism. Remove the black screw in the column assembly collar labeled “Remove for Assembly” and replace it with the chrome screw contained in the hardware package. Do not remove the chrome screw labeled “Do Not Remove”.
