Directions on how to use the Drive Medical Splash Defense Transfer Bench

1. Place the bench with the U-shaped cut-out facing the bathtub or shower.
2. To sit on the transfer bench, scoot your buttocks toward the cut-out opening, allowing you to slide smoothly into the bathtub or shower.

Assembly Instructions

1. Lay both transfer bench seat sections upside down on a flat surface.
2. Align the U-shaped bracket with the large seatboard. The “U” should be facing towards the legs marked with “A”. Slide the large seatboard tube into the U-bracket by depressing the push pins and inserting them into the receptacles. Push pins will pop out when secure. Repeat for the second U-bracket.
3. Align the short seat board with the U-bracket tubing. Slide the short seat board tube into the U-bracket by depressing the push pins and inserting them into the receptacles. Push pins will pop out when secure. Repeat for the second U-bracket.
4. Attach the leg with the large suction cup (marked “A”) by depressing the push pin and inserting it into the receptacle with the matching “A”. Repeat for the second leg.
5. Attach the leg with the small rubber tip (marked “B”) by depressing the push pin and inserting it into the receptacle with matching “B”. Repeat for the second leg.
6. To assemble the backrest, insert the support tube into the backrest support by depressing the push pin and sliding it into the backrest tube. Repeat for second support.
7. Insert the backrest into the base by depressing push pins and sliding support tubes through both receptacles. Note: Backrest must go through both sets of receptacles to become secure.
8. Turn the transfer bench right-side-up. Attach the armrest by depressing push pins and sliding into the arm receptacle on the side of the bench. Make sure the arm arcs outward, not inward.
9. Place the legs with the large suction cups into bathtub.

NOTE: Back support is reversible to accommodate left or right tub entry. You can also change the seat depth of your transfer bench by pushing the pins under the seat and sliding the tubes forward until the pins lock into place.

Care Instruction

After each use, thoroughly wipe down the entire bench, including the seat, backrest, frame, and curtain guard, using a damp cloth or sponge.
