Directions on how to use the Drive Medical Med-Aire Mattress System

1. Take off all existing covers, sheets, and the mattress from the bed.
2. Unpack the Drive Medical Med-Aire Mattress System and carefully inspect all parts for any damage. Do not use it if any of the components are damaged.
3. Ensure that no sharp objects are in the area that could pose a risk of damaging the mattress system.
4. Place the Drive Medical Med-Aire Mattress System on the bed, with the printed top cover facing upwards and the air hoses directed toward the foot end of the bed.
5. Fasten the mattress system securely to the mobile sections of the bed frame or bed deck. Ensure that the buckles are tightly secured, and the straps are pulled snugly. Do not attach to the side rails as the straps may tear off.
6. Position the control unit by hanging the hooks over the footboard of the bed.
7. Connect the air hoses to the therapy mattress firmly using the quick connector. When correctly installed, the quick connector will produce an audible click. Ensure the air hoses do not kink between the mattress, bed frame, and control unit.
8. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet with grounded AC power.

Cleaning Instructions

1. Before cleaning, unplug the control unit from its power source.
2. Check for external damage and move the control unit to the cleaning area.
3. Wipe the case with a clean cloth to remove dust or particles from all areas.
4. Use a cloth sprayed with a cleaning solution to clean the faceplate and control unit. Do not allow excessive cleaning solution on the faceplate or control panel.
5. After cleaning and drying, plug in the control unit and test for normal functioning.
6. Unplug the control unit and store it with a proper identification tag until needed for use.
7. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
