The ObusForme Backrest Support remains securely in place by using an elastic stretch loop that can be placed or stretched over most chairs or vehicle seats. However, this stretch loop is not necessary for couches or sofas. When using the ObusForme Highback Backrest Support in a car, truck, or any seat with a lower back opening, you can simply insert the bottom ends of the straps through the bottom opening, place the top straps over the seat’s top, and then secure them using the provided buckles.

A lumbar support pad offers additional support to the lower spine by filling in the natural inward curve of your back. These pads can be used to provide extra lower back support for daily activities or to alleviate spinal stress in individuals with a noticeable lumbar lordosis or sway-back posture.

Please Note: The use of a lumbar support pad with your ObusForme Backrest Support is not mandatory. If you find the lumbar support pad to be bulky or uncomfortable, it is possible that you do not have an excessive lumbar curve that necessitates additional support.

To properly position the lumbar support pad, start by sitting back into the ObusForme Backrest Support, ensuring that your buttocks are pushed as far back as possible. Lean slightly forward and horizontally insert the lumbar support pad across your lower back, just above your belt line. Lean back so that the hollow in your lower back is firmly supported. Adjust the position until you find a comfortable fit that feels right for you.

Helpful Hint: To prevent the lumbar support pad from shifting, we recommend placing it inside the backrest’s cover. Simply separate the fastener at the back of the backrest, and insert the lumbar support pad towards the front of the backrest inside the cover. Once again, position it in a way that feels comfortable to you. Reseal the fastener to secure it in place.

• You can try using it independently for extra comfort and support in any chair.

Cleaning the ObusForme Backrest Support is a straightforward process. The cover of the backrest support is made of synthetic materials and can be easily cleaned using mild soap and a sponge, a damp cloth, or a soft brush. It is important not to excessively rub the cover or place it in a washing machine. If needed, the cover can be removed and hand washed in cool water. After washing, simply hang it to dry. In case the fabric appears wrinkled, you can remove the backrest’s cover and iron it using the lowest setting on your iron.
