Directions on how to use the SafetySure Transfer Pivot Disc

Between wheelchair and chair: The helper must place his/her heel on the floor and the rest of his/her foot on the plate between the patient’s feet. With the patient wearing a transfer belt, the helper holds onto the handles while helping the patient transfer.

Between wheelchair and bed: make sure to position the wheelchair as close to the bed as possible with the wheels locked. Use the same steps as above for a safe and efficient transfer.

Between wheelchair and toilet: ideally with two helpers, do the same steps as when transferring between wheelchair and chair. Use your other free hands to assist the patient in undressing before transferring him/her to the toilet seat.

Care Instructions

Clean the disc with a spray or wipe it with disinfectant to prevent cross-contamination when used for different patients.

If the disc turns slowly, simply take a tin cloth, spray it with furniture polish, and then insert cloth between the disc. Drag the cloth all around to clean and lubricate the disc.
